my battery went dead and wont come on

Hi Good day,

i recently got my sony xperia M5 and a few days ago the battery went completly dead, so i left to charge for a couple hours. I try to turn it on but no luck, also the red light led light was still on. I call the support tem to assit me which they told me to download Xperia Companion and do a soft ware repair, which i try to do but no luck. When it prompt to press Vol down and jack in noting pop up. the power and vol up doesnt work also.

XC won't work if the battery is dead try this

remove both the SIM and SD cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours > repair it with XC

Possible cause could be overdraining your battery a lot of times. it happened to my old xperia z1 when i tried to benchmark a power bank's actual capacity (in mAh) by draining my phone and then charging it via the power bank. Maybe after 10 runs, showed the same symptoms you described above.

This is a user based forum, so you have to contact them.

@Alphatron

This is about the M5 not the Z1 but I have a Z1, what do you want me to test?
