My PC does not detect my M5

Ok another problem i've found - my M5 can not be seen by my PC.

Already made a request to support - no answer so far, but i am waiting.

When i plug it into USB, the phone starts to charge - so it's not a broken USB port or smth.

Factory reset also is of a little use, because the problem persists, and I can not do anything because PC companion also fails to see my phone.

Before the last update it all was ok, because I transfered data from my old Z1 to M5, so, again, firmware.

SONY, take note please!

OK, guys, problem solved. Removed my memory card, switched on the administrative tools, with USB handling, restarted and on the second try with help of "detect USB devices" button, while plugging the cable it worked. Never had problems like this really.

Ok, service test also failed.

"USB connecting status..Disconnected" - is what i get during service test. At the same moment my phone is connected to the PC and gets charged.

Any advice on this occasion?

EDIT: android 5.0 (30.0.A.1.33)

You need to rule out any defects in the connection itself, please try another USB cable, another USB port on your PC, or try connecting to another PC/laptop and see if the same issue is there.

What OS you have on your PC?

No defects, it all looks good, tried another USB cable, abother USB port another PC even. Tried it on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. No effect. It charges, but it is not seen by the system.

Being able to charge doesn't means the USB cable or the USB connectors on your phone and PC is not spoiled. Power only takes up two lines in the USB cables and more is needed for sync. I have a Nexus 7 tablet which is able to charge but it can't be connected in any other way, most probably the port is spoiled.

I wasn't aware of any software update, did you get any?

Mine is 30.0.B.1.23

@Arroz15

If you already tried all the possibilities to rule out USB connection defects, then I'm not sure how to decide if it's a software or hardware problem. Best thing is to contact your Local support and let an expert examine it.
