My xperia will not power up!!!

I powerd down my xperia (because it had low charge) then went to put it on charge. I left it on charge all night then went to use it in the morning and it would not power on. I have left it to charge for another day and night and will still not power on. Every time I go to turn it on it flashes with three red lights. 

I have attempted to use a software update on the sony companion but it has not worked as my xperia will not connect to my laptop.

Does anyone know how to fix this!!!!

Hey Fred1225, in case you haven't already done this, try holding both the power button and Up on the volume rocker for about ten seconds.

After doing this i have tried to power up my phone but it still will not power up??

This is strange, I would recommend a software repair but you said your computer doesn't detect your phone. Hey Fred1225, when you connect your phone to the charger, does the charging/notification light come on?
