Phone keeps going straight into camera from standby

First M5 and very happy with it bar one minor irritation - when I take the phone off standby it always automatically goes into the camera.  I've hunted through the settings 5 times now in a hunt to find a way to change this but no luck so far. Slightly_frowning_Face

Can someone put me out of my misery & enable me to get it to just go to the home page instead??  Thanks.

One more shot: go to camera settings and disable quick launch (if enabled).

That's strange. Can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

Hi

Thanks for helping. Yep - annoyingly it still occurs in safe mode Slightly_frowning_Face  This is a brand new phone so only has the Sony apps plus a handful of others I transferred from my Samsung.  And therein lies a possible suspect perhaps - can't say for sure but have a feeling this only started happening after I did the transfer of everything from my Samsung S4.  So I presume resetting the phone might sort it but don't want to be taking a hammer to crack a very tiny nut!!

@TKR99 On 6.0.1, there is an option to start camera if you double press power button. But this is not the case for you as M5 doesn't have the update yet. Have you tested the physical camera button?

Thanks Alexdon - the camera button's working fine :).  I can't find any other options that might provide a clue as to why this is happening & so still somewhat lost Slightly_frowning_Face

Wayyyyy - that WORKED!!  Actually caused an intriguing problem that took me a min to figure out - before I had to swipe from the right side to unlock  but after that little change I found the side swipe wasn't working.  After a min of minor panic thinking I wasn't going to be able to open it without more work, I discovered the little lock icon which said to swipe UP & that was it.

Thanks SO much for sticking with it & helping me work through the fix Slightly_smiling_Face

@TKR99 Yeah, you need to swipe UP to unlock, not any other way :smileysmileythumbsup:

Anytime, glad we figured it out.
