Wifi does not turn off even when I switch it off . The Wifi Symbol however seems to go off , but the battery history chart shows Wifi switched ON . This is evident from the battery drain during standby . However , the Wifi turns off if Wifi is turned OFF during a restart so that the battery history chart is fresh and if Wifi is switched ON after that and then turned OFF , the battery history chart shows Wifi turned ON for the remaining period . This seems to be a software glitch . Hoping for a fix .
Anyone in the software team please do contact me .

Hey , I have repaired my phone using pc companion several times ( 4.4.2 version ) before I received the 4.4.4 update .
But had no luck . Will try a software repair with the current software version .

Sorry about the delay . I couldn't repair my phone as my broadband connection was down .
Now , I have done the software repair , but the problem still persists .
Hey guys, I have almost the same problem as well. I own a Sony Xperia M2 Aqua. For a few days I've been having an issue which further shortens the life of the battery (when it's already pretty bad as it is), it seems like there's no way to turn of the wi-fi. It's always on when I check the battery history details. Turning the device off and on again did nothing, neither turning off the wi-fi... even when I turn on stamina mode (which should disable the wi-fi option and mobile data when the device is locked/asleep), I left the phone locked for a while, so that I could monitor the difference in the battery history diagram, but yet it shows as if the wi-fi is always on, no matter what. The odd thing is that it doesn't seem to connect to wi-fi networks automatically but it shows as if it hasn't been stopped at all and keeps draining the battery. Plus I don't know why, but without excessive usage of apps or anything my battery never lasts longer than a day (at best) even with the low battery mode set to 20% and the phone is only 3 months old (It has been like this from the very beginning, not to mention that the battery goes from 100 to 90% literally in less than 30 minuted no matter if I've been using the phone or not, after that it gets a bit better). I've had nothing but problems with this phone ever since I bought it and it's getting pretty annoying. Does anybody know any specific reason for this issue to occur out of the blue?
I'd appreciate any comment on either the battery issues or the wi-fi problem.
Thanks,
Rosen
