What if you turn it off?

Hi @Bayern, welcome to our community!

I'm sorry to hear about your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

As @Viridis recommended, try charging the phone while it's turned off and see if it continues to charge after reaching 83% battery level.

Are you charging your phone using a USB port on a computer or a wall socket? If you are charging through a USB port, could you try connecting the phone to the charger that was included together with your phone to a wall socket and see if you experience the same behaviour, either when the phone is turned on or turned off.

If you have another original charger and cable, could you trying charging the phone with either of these? If you don't have an extra charger or cable, if one of your friends, colleagues or family members have an Xperia device you can ask them if you can borrow their charger!

Let us know how it goes! Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi again!

Is the demo mode currently activated in your phone? If it is, could you try turning it off and see if you can charge the phone past 83%?

To turn the demo mode off, open up the Phone application and type *#*#*73556673#*#*.

Is there any change after you have turned off the demo mode? If you still can't charge the phone over 83% with another charger / cable, I'd recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.

This will delete all data stored on the internal storage in the phone so it's important that you backup the data before starting with the repair.

Keep us posted!
