Same problem here, auto rotation is working only safe mode, after normal mode woks only few minute. are you guys find any special third party application which stop the rotationS ??
I have Xperia M2 Aqua model. I have the same accelerometer problem like most of you. 2 days ago i started to investigate what causes this problem. I have found that accelerometer stucks in normal mode and in SAFE MODE too. so i suspect that 3rd party application could not cause this problem because in safe mode they are inactive.
Hi!
Sorry to say I do not have any real solution. I have a solution to turn the screen orientation temporarily to horizontal for typing text etc:
1. Open some application.
2. Press the camera button on the right side of your phone to turn on camera.
3. Exit camera via back-arrow or the open application selector button (Do not use home button).
4. The application (and other open applications) should now be in horizontal mode.
5. After returning to home screen everything is back to vertical again.
I wonder does this affect all Xperia M2 (aqua) phones or are there phones out there without this issue?
The problem occurs after "longer call", for example 4-5min call.
As sony service informed me it affects only some mainboard revisions (not all xperia m2 models).
They claim that next firmware upgrade should resolve this bug.
It's my first and last sony and android smartphone. First the problem was injected into the code then we need to wait for the fix
Above post in my case is totally incorrect. My Sony M2 (which I've bought last week) is showing the problem when it is in stand by mode even (for example durring the night when I am sleeping). So in my case it is not needed to have a conversation in order the problem to appear.

As you can see I'm not lying you. There are many posts in the net about autorotation problem after "longer call"
You have 2 options
1. contact your local Xperia Care
or
2. repair the phone with PCC
