Xperia: Software update is downloading forever

When I go into About Phone, then into Software Update, the "Loading" symbol is running permanently, without ever downloading any Sony app updates. It's draining my battery. How can I stop it running? Thanks.

I'm also occuring the same problem, since I reset my phone.
