Hi,
Here's what I've done.
I plugged my C510 into my mac.
On the phone the menu appeared saying: do you want to transfer in phone mode, media mode, etc. The last option was as mass storage device. I've never tried that one so I thought I'd give it a go, there is nothing in the manual about it.
I transfered my files fine and disconnected the phone. Now the phone doesn't work at all.
How do I get it back into be a mobile phone mode?
Many thanks in advance.

Plug it back into the Mac and see whether you get the choice of selecting the USB mode again.Otherwise, use a PC to update or re-install the software with the SE update service since the phone needs to be switched off for this process anyway.

Phone didn't seem to respond to being plugged back into the Mac this morning.
Tried again after reading your message. It worked.
As did ejecting the Phone on the Mac, the phone went back into phone mode.
Many thanks for being a digital information (and money) life saver.
