Hi guys, I've had my arc for a while now, its running android 2.3.4 but recently the vibrate for notifications has stopped working.
The vibrate works when the phone is set to vibrate but when i add volume the vibrate goes away.
in settings under sounds I have vibrate as "always"
in the messaging settings i have "notification vibration" on also.
Im very confused by how this could have happened to me when it was working just days ago weeks after I updated the latest version of android.
thanks for any help you can give me!
Solved! Go to Solution.
did you tried the obvious turn off/on your phone?
how about
settings -> privacy -> settings reset
open the messaging app -> press MENU -> settings -> check vibration notification
also do you have another app running like handcent sms, or sms go?
I had lightflow to change my notification lights and vibrates but when i realized the vibrate wasnt working i uninstalled it but even after I took it off the vibrate/ volume combination has not worked
btw go to settings -> about phone
which
android version
and
build number do you have
2.3.4
4.0.2.A.0.42
i'm gonna try the settings reset
the settings reset worked! thank you
do you have any idea why i couldnt fix the problem without doing the reset?
does it mean that i shouldnt download lightflow again? its really useful
for future reference
