Downloaded Amazon Prime on Sony Bravia. App will not open despite up to date software etc..... please help

That sounds really frustrating. Maybe have a chat with Sony Support about this to see what they suggest.

@Poohbear72  which TV model you are talking about? Amazon prime video is preinstalled on enabled Sony TVs, so you are not expected to install anything (update it maybe)...

My tv was the same , tried everything , no luck .  I decided to put the clock on to internet setting , Amazon Prime works fine now .
