Just bought the brilliant 40HX753...the picture is astonishing. However.....
I have a Blu Ray BD590S and a KS360S Sony AV system and a Sky HD + box all connected to the 360S in the correct HDMI ports with a single HDMI cable from the AV to the HDMI 1 - ARC port on the set. I have an optical cable from TV to AV for digital TV sound.
The only devices that show on the TV HDMI device list is the AV system and the BD player....fair enough...although the AV system does not show as connected but the BD player does but reading it seems that is "normal" ?.
If I select digital TV it refuses to switch back to SAT (Sky) when selected unless I select BD first then SAT on the AV remote. All this worked fine with the 32W5710 I had before. The AV system says it is HDMI control standard and all devices have HDMI control turned on
Is this anything to do with ARC ? Although it doesn't work if I plug the AV output into other HDMI ports. Is my AV receiver out of date ? I thought Bravia Synch was a standard across all enabled devices ?
