KDL-32EX403 Optical out and Soundbar for HDMI inputs

Hello,

I want to buy a sundbar for my Sony Bravia KDL-32EX403.

Will the optical out on the TV to a soundbard allow sound from HDMI input when selected?

Input 1 via HDMI = Sky Box

Input 2 via HDMI = DVD player

Input 3 via HDMI = Laptop

so I am watching Sky via HDMI 1, and the sound is set to output to the soundbar. Would this work?

Hi,

i can see no reason it wont as the tv set this way is outputting sound as directed to the soundbar instead of its internal speakers.
