Sony TV - sound gaps when using hdmi
Brand new Sony TV (10Jan2021) with sound "gaps" when using an hdmi digital connection - very noticeable and annoying.
I checked on the internet and there have been many complaints on exactly the same problem for a long time.
Someone suggested there is now a Sony fix available.
PLEASE FOR ANY HELP.

Hi, sorry to hear that you're having this issue. What's the model that you own?

I own a Sony oled KD48A9. This is connected via hdmi to Sky q box. All sound is via the TV Speakers. The sound does 'drop out' momentarily, more so on downloaded sky q programmes, just for a split second perhaps once every 4 minutes, but sometimes not at all. I assumed it was a Sky q problem? I have read on Sky community a fair amount of tv viewers, with a variety of makes of tv suffer the same problem. Awaiting a Sky fix download? I didn't realise it could be a Sony TV problem?

Hi @Chrislowrie,
Thanks for the info about the Sky Q problem and the upcoming fix.
That said, it's still always a good idea to check all the devices involved. Have you tried updating to the software update released earlier this week? I've seen other users already claiming it solved many issues.
Give it a go here, it might help.
