Hello everyone,
I updated my bios on my vaio VPCCA1C5E. After the update the machine rebooted to a blank screen (no vaio splash or anything). The fan spins ok and the power led illuminates. If I hold the power button to turn it off the battery led illuminates as well. I believe the bios that I flashed must have been corrupted. Is there anyway to force flash the bios once again? A possible key combination to force the motherboard to look for a bios file on a removable storage maybe?
Thanks
kind regards
Yohan
Hi Yohan.
I think you will have to contact Sony Support using the 'out of warranty' phone line if the BIOS is corrupt. It may need a factory repair.
Where did you get the BIOS Update from? I can't find any approved available update for your model since R0242V2 released for Windows 7 in October 2011.
Hi Blencogo,
Thanks for the reply. I got the bios update from sony's driver download page for my model. I have contacted sony and they have asked me to ship it in for repairs.
