Just got a brand new CDX-GT450U stereo (the previous one - same model - gave up after a few days and select knob and buttons were making random selections as to what they did) and now this one after a couple of weeks is displaying Offset (the sound started crackling and lowering for a day before this message showed up). I can't believe that two units would fail after such a short period.
Electrical connections have been checked professionaly and they are OK.
The manual just says internal malfunction - not much help. Leaving the unit on resulted in either severe static on playing a CD or the CD playing normally for a short while. Tried several CDs which had played fine on this unit before.
Anyone have any thoughs on the possible problem? It has been rather cold and misty over the last few days.
