why do i have intermittent connection to NWZ-E463?

I have recently experienced occasions when my device is not recognised by the PC only to find that reconnecting gives me temporary connection which then stops for no reason. I am using the supplied USB cable. Any ideas?

i have the same problem my nwz e463 not working on win 7 64bit and lubuntu 10.10, but on win xp works without probems
