XAV-601BT speed in wire

hi

There is a pink wire labelled "speed in" ... does that somehow get connected to the speedo, and if so, what does it do?

Further, I am told by the installers that they normally ground the handbrake wire so that everything works regardless of whether I am driving or parked ... is that true?

Hi Ian, as far as I remember, the "speed in" wire is useful only when you have a GPS connected to the unit, it is written somewhere in the manual.

As for the handbrake, I also grounded my wire to one of the unit's screws, making it possible to play music videos while driving.
