The battery on my phone is draining way to fast.
It started happening after i updated to Android 8.0.0.
I've tried unistalling several apps, disabling apps, re-installing apps, restarted phone, turned off wifi, data etc.
Nothing helps. Not even in Stamina mode. Drains just as quickly.
If i hardly use the phone then the phone might be "alive" for half the day.
Something is wrong but i can't get to the bottom of what it is.
This text has taken me about 3 minutes to write. In that time the percentage of my phone has dropped from 12% to 8%, and i have done nothing with it.
I need some help.

Confirm that I'm also been struggling with much increased battery drain for my Dual SIM XA1 since getting first 48.1.A.2.73 (8.0.0 with 5 November 2018 security patch) and then shortly after 48.1.A.2.101 (Android 8.0.0 with 5 February 2019 security patch), both in late Feb 2019.
After extensive watching of built in battery settings not highlighting any rogue apps, and then watching even more closely with 3rd party GSam Battery Monitor https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm , I believe I've tracked down the problem to excessive background battery use by Bluetooth, only since these latest Android Oreo v8 updates.
Before that my Xperia XA1 would frequently being at 40%+ at end of a normal day's use. Now with battery drain issue I'm lucky to make 30% by 6pm, often much worse!
At the moment the only workaround I've found is to manually switch off Bluetooth whenever I'm not actively using it, but that's not how it was/should be!
I'd expect *some* extra battery drain from Bluetooth, but not the dramatic differences I'm now seeing - See attached GSam battery monitor when I was only lightly using my phone, but only switched off Bluetooth between approx 10.30am-1pm today and the slope of battery drain is substantially different between those times vs before and after when Bluetooth was on, but not being used
!
I've been investigating a bit and followed all the advice given.
There's nothing.
I've also been informed that two other acquaintances suffers from the same problem with the same phone.
Regarding bluetooth. I don't use bluetooth but sometimes when i restart the phone (which seems to temporary solve the problem) the bluetooth is suddenly on, which i turn off manually.
I see on the forums that there are a few others with the same problem.
Long time since it started but the problem persists.
No clear culprit when looking at the power usage by apps. Everything looks fine.
Unfortunately, my XA1 unexpectedly died just short of 2 years old. Amazon was good enough to give me a full refund, and I got myself a 2nd hand guaranteed Samsung Galaxy S8 for only just a bit more money. So I'm afraid I can't contribute more info to this thread going forward.
And the lack of support or solutions about issues like this and widely inaccurate compass on the XA1 meant I wasn't going to rush to get Sony again!
