I have a Sony Xperia XA2.
Now after about 3 months use the (main) microphone started to add a high pitch noise:
- it appears in sound recordings
- it appears in video recordings
- it appears when testing the (main) microphpne in Service mode.
By cheking the recording (converted to wav, then viewed) I found value-spikes with about 714Hz frequency:
At the beginning this noise was not there.
The service mode test showed no noise at the secondary mic.
Restart, "safe mode" have not helped...
How can I get rid of this noise?
Where does it come from?
- apparently not from applications as mic test also demonstrates it
- from mic as HW?
- from A/D conversion?
- from mic device drover of Android?
- from system function of Android?
- or???
Thanks a lot,
Henrik
ps: I wanted to upload a sound file, but did not find how to attach it
Hello Uliwooly,
Not yet, not at all. First I have to check out what this Xperia Companion is.
Thanks a lot for the hint.
As the mic test in service mode fails with quality, I do not have much hope, but I am going to give it a chance.
BR, Henrik
keep us updated
I have installed Xperia Companion. It suggested Android update, which I did - but mic issue remained the same. (the road to this update was not smooth, but never mind...)
