Notification dots

Received missed call on my Sony xperia xa2, but the notification dot will not disappear, even though I have switched off and rebooted. I've also called my number to make it disappear to no avail. I have been advised its something to do with clearing cache, which I gave tried and still been unsuccessful. Can anyone help?

Hi @Alfie4, sorry for the late reply.

If your device has the Google Phone app and not the Xperia phone app, this behaviour will be fixed in a new update for the application that will be released and available in the Google Play store around October 21-25, so keep an eye out there.

If the phone application icon is blue and the phone inside of it is white, you have the Google phone app.
