What has a better wifi connection? A vita which came out like 6 years ago with 3g. Or a 2018 xperia xa2 ultra?

The vita was purposefully built for native remote play control, the phone is using an app.

Massive difference between hardware solution and software.

Hence emulators for PS2 era consoles need massive specs to run smoothly.

I have ps4. That's why I bougth xperia phone XA2 ultra. By the way it's not cheap for my country. And I wanted to buy a sony TV. I wanted to be a sony fan. But now after that case I never buy Sony products again. Even ps+ no more. All the more so they gives not good games now.

Only LG and others like before.

Why can't the Xa2 be given it as you say its just a software issue so as the software exists why cant Sony just let the phone have it for the amazing phone it is the remote play is the biggest disappointment that can be fixed very easily this is an issue that need to be looked at could you let us know if this will change I think its the best thing Sony could do to make the customer happy thank you

@Anton-u2, welcome to our forum!

I understand that you are disappointed but it's very important to check if a certain feature is supported by the device or not before buying it, especially if the reason for purchasing it was only for this reason.

@Jonnyb100, I don't know if it's only based on the software or if there are other reasons for it not being available, the information that I have available is that it's not supported and it won't receive support via a software update.

I appreciate your reply but you don't give us answers to why this won't happen there are other handset out there that do this feature that have less ram and power then this phone, also at the same time there our very cheap handsets that offer it and everyother Sony phone does it high end and low end so I still can't see why Sony have decided to not make it compatible and like I say it can easily be solved with the correct software update and again to hold it back on selected handset when it is an Xperia is rediculous as a company decision because this was one of the XPERIAS selling points so could we maybe get some real feedback to why as a company for the reasons it can't be done and due to one error like this you are setting up a model to fail because Sony would not give it a software update to keep it upto date I don't mean to be blunt but I believe that all customers feel this same over this challenge and feel that is should be looked at again thank you for your time

Not officially they don't.

Only Sony offers remote play as standard and only has ever been advertised on the high end line of devices.

If other brands cheaper phones have it, it's been added after the fact the exact same way if you went and installed the apk.

Hi again @Jonnyb100!

I don't have that kind of information, that is why I'm not able to share it with you. If I knew that exact reason, I would of course give you the reason for not adding this feature to the in this case, the Xperia XA2 Ultra.

I'm not quite sure which models that you refer to as "very cheap handsets", but for our devices, it has always been the flagships, and not the value line devices, such as the Xperia XA/Xperia XA1/Xperia XA2-series.
