Guys, not even the pressing the Power Button + Volume Up button till it vibrates 3 times works. I've left it on this screen till the battery died twice already. Even tried to get it to boot to Safe Mode, but nothing is working.
The last thing that was happening before I decided to force shut it was all my apps were not responding and my screen was being cluttered with the errors. And I haven't gotten past the Xperia logo since then.
Hi @CapnJace, sorry to hear about this.
Try removing both the SIM and SD cards from the device and see if you are able to get past the booting screen.
Should that not work, you will need to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your device.
Let me know if that helps!
I've tried that too, and it still won't work. Even the Xperia Companion doesn't work. It just charges the battery.
Hi again @CapnJace,
Did the software repair complete? I'm not quite sure what you mean with "just charges the battery", did you just connect the device to the computer or did you run the software repair?
If the repair completed and you still can't boot the device up, get in touch with your Local support team as the device will need to be sent/handed in to an authorized service centre so it can be examined.
Keep me posted!
I tried running the software and I followed the instructions that the Xperia Companion was telling me, but after connecting the phone to my PC the software doesn't really do anything. The phone doesn't do anything either other than flash the charging animation.
Charge the device 1-2 hours using the supplied wall adaptor to make sure the battery is full charge then perform software repair using Xperia Companion
Or search boot loop on the bar above for other helpful information
Hi again @CapnJace,
Did you connect the device when the program asked you to do so? The install should then continue as normal and when it's finished, the software has been repaired/replaced.
Usually if there is an error, there will be a pop-up message with an error code, did you get one of these pop-up messages? You can of course try and perform the repair again and see if that helps or try with a different computer (if you have access to one).
