Xperia xa2 keeps forcing into sleep mode and locking.

Hi,

I have a Sony Xperia XA2 that has recently suffered slight water damage. It turns on, shows the logo, goes on the lock screen then keeps wanting to turn the screen off as if I've clicked the power button. Even if I can unlock the screen, after a few seconds of normal usage it then goes off and locks again. I've also managed to get to the camera screen from the lock screen using the camera button technique but it again goes straight back to sleep  and locks after a few seconds. Eventually the power button won't bring the lock screen on and I have to do a hard reset. Any Ideas if it would be a software or hardware issue?

I have the exact same problem, except for the water damage part (at least that i know of) and I also have no clue how to fix it. Did you get it fixed or have you found any solutions?
