M5 dual back camera not taking sharp photos

Hi, I got an Xperia M5 Dual less than 4 days ago and when I try to take photos, they do not come out sharp at any resolution or megapixel setting. The superior auto setting does not help either. Its better on Manual but not great.

At a distance, the images come out blurry but if i get close up to the subject I am photographing, the image is much sharper. Maybe an issue with focussing.

It has not been exposed to water, there is no dirt or scratches or grime on the lense.

The quality images I get from this camera are not what I was expecting and I am not satisfied with these results.

Hi,

Same issue i am facing with my sony xperia m5 dual handset. i have purchased it on november 11, 2015. I took handset to sony xperia service center.  after long time of waiting. i finally got the handset replaced. But still the camera of new handset is not able to take sharp pictures and also it is able to focus properly. i dont know whether it is software issue or camera module issue. it  has latest firmaware update in it. I have checked with demo hanset at various shops. they have july month firmware update and the camera of those mobile is able focus properly and takes sharp pictures.   Please i request you to look into this issue asap.

hey bro, how long you wait your phone for warranty...i already 3 weeks still no news for me... their customer service so lousy and not helping so much..

yes .. i waited 25 days to get new handset.. customer service center is very bad.

Im experiencing the same problem with my new m5. Pictures are blurry at distance pictures but no problem with closer pictures. Whats the peoblem? Can this be fixed?
