Please help. My Xperia Z will not charge!

I have a Xperia Z and unfortunatley it will not charge. The battery is now dead and i have tried to leave it charging for over an hour and still it has no power. I do not know what else i could try to fix this and so i ask if anyonne could help please

Can you please advise if the LED is lighting up? can you also try holding down the Power key and the Volume Up key until the handset vibrates once.

i tried it. but my xperia z is not charging anymore..

So if you connect to wall charger it does not do anything?Try to charge 2 hours and repair phone software with sony update service.
