Walkman app reverted to previous version after 4.3 update

Hi! Some time ago when my Z1 was still running on 4.2.2, I got a walkman update to version 8.0.A.0.4 through the Update Center and installed it. But when I updated my phone to Android 4.3, it seemed that my walkman version reverted back to 7.15.A.0.2. There are currently no signs of Music Unlimited integration, Now Playing indicator and TrackID integration. Also, when I access the menu option on the upper right part of the app, there's no option for me to sign in to the music network.
Has anyone had the same case after installing 4.3? And, how would I get the Walkman update?

To get the Walkman update back, you will have to check with the PC companion regulary till the update becomes available for the present firmware version for your phone.

Or you may download the .apk file from second hand sources on the internet and install it to your phone.

Repair your phone with Sony Update Service and you should get the latest update for your phone installed.

I actually did a phone repair after installing 4.3 on my Z1. So I don't think that will help. But with installing it using an apk file, will I still then get future updates on the app?

Got the same issue also. But what I did is to get the APK of the 8.0.A.0.4 and installed it manually. I can't wait till it shows in the Update Center because of the Recently Added playlist.

I just installed the apk of the newest version of walkman but, there's no Music Unlimited integration. It also wasnt available before i updated the app manually. Its weird, because the feature was present when my Z1 was running on 4.2.2. Any tips?
