@Sachin14

Could you test it on >>> safe mode and with other routers?

Mobile: Z3 (D6653) + Z3 Compact

Router: D-Link Wireless AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Router (DIR-890L)

Yup, I'm having the same issue I think, although I'm sure the WiFi is actually connecting but the internet isn't getting through for some reason. Have tried many suggestions across many different sites and nothing Slightly_frowning_Face

I have tried:

  • Restarting devices, starting from the phone and ending in Router, Modem and everything internet related (just to be sure).
  • Restarting the WiFi on phone and forgetting the network settings.
  • Reseting all network settings in the Backup/Wipe section of Settings.
  • Manually connecting to the network using static IP
  • Changing a few low level settings on the Router. Mixing it up with the 2.5 GHz, 5GHz and the b/g/n.
  • Safe mode.
  • Factory Wipe.

That last one I ended up with an empty phone and still the message "Connected. No internet"

Before I rather hastily wiped my phone dispite it saying there was no internet it could connect a voice call in WhatsApp and access my Router through the browser. Nothing else would happen, no web browsing, no app store and no Plex access dispite being on local network and not needing the internet?? weird

The wired PC works fine, Plex server still viewable on other devices on local network and externally. Other wireless PC (Windows 10), Android tablet (Samsung, vers 5 something) and Android phone (unknown type, vers 5 something) still working fine.

I also tried to find a way to fully wipe (in case not everything is getting cleared) by booting into an "update mode" but despite a few different suggestions online I couldn't find a button combination on startup that would work Slightly_frowning_Face

Also downloaded the PC Companion but nothing in there seemed to help. Would be nice if there was a way to roll back to a pre v6 OS.

Hope this is something that can get fixed soon.

In pre lollipop there was a way to see if the connection was fully established, the color of the wifi icon was switching from white to orange if the problem was related to... DNS.

You said it connect to wifi, have you tried different routers? Can you try disabling the 5ghz?

On your router, can you change the DNS to use Google's ones? 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
