Hi, I am from India. After the lollipop upadate, my Xperia m2 dual( 2302) camera shows some isues. Its image looks like artistic picture, lacks details. When zooming its feel too bad. Is any one have this issue?

1.Is the "update" only for M2 or both M2 and M2 Aqua?
2.Is the "update" officially announced by Sony, cause there is no update in the software update page?
3.Whats that GPS problem everybody is talking about?

4.Will the Music app receive the purple vinyl stock cover photo, or we have to stay with the yellow one(IN THE BLACK THEME) ?
I just downloaded the new update and I have to say it looks as though it has fixed the camera. You can see the ISO grain again like any other digital camera and the weird impressionistic painting effect seems to have gone. Hopefully it will also fix the GPS issues. Will update the appropriate thread if it does.
Downloaded the update too, i'm impressed, that is the spirit I wan't to see in the future!
Thanks for the response and for the fix!

one question ? the memory ram ,the sound and battery, how work? Because readed that xloud did removed in lollipop and the stamine mode didnt work
I have just updated to the latest Lollipop update, built number 18.6.A.0.182. Sony has disappointed again.
Although the camera has been improved, the image quality is not as good as it was on Kitkat.
I still cannot comment if the GPS and battery problem have been fixed.
But I can say that the quiet loudspeaker and ringtone, phone going on silent by itself, the slow reaction of the proximity sensor, the missing option to select other image viewer from the camera shortcut, have not been fixed.
I don't believe that there will be any other update that will fix these problems, so I recommend those still on KitKat to stay on KitKat, and those on older version of Lollipop to update.
I am uploading image samples for comparison between KitKat, Lollipop, and the latest update of Lollipop.
Thanks for the comparison images, Zorto!
These three images show a definite improvement of the .182 camera build compared to build .175, but it's still not quite as good as the KitKat version.
I've read about GPS and battery problems being fixed (if I understood correctly that was mainly due to zram and 2 processor cores being constantly awake, has this been fixed now?), as well as the stagefright vulnerability being patched with the new update, but looks like there are still some quirks left.
I guess it is now OK for those who already have Lollipop on their phones to just roll with it and install the new update, as it does seem to have fixed a lot of original issues that were present since the .175 version. But I'm staying on KitKat. I don't want to test whether I'd really be happy with the new update or not, only to decide after 3 days I liked KitKat better and having to go through the pain of setting up my phone all over again after flashing KitKat (which is what I did shortly after my M2 Aqua got bumped to 5.1.1).
It's great news that Lollipop now at least works in an acceptable way, I just don't think it's really worth all the trouble. And I actually prefer the simpler look and feel of KitKat - no unneccessary lock screen notifications (they can be turned off, but I never needed them to begin with), ability to add custom widgets to lock screen, simpler volume controls (getting into silent mode was more complicated than it should be), more free internal storage space (though I do have a SD card as well),...
Dunno, so far I still think KitKat is better and more stable. To each their own
Firmware issues aside, M2 Aqua is a great phone, hasn't let me down yet, it does more than I need it to do
I love all the other features of Lollipop but the 182 update does not match the clear pictures of KitKat so I would say the Camera is not really fixed. The Auto focus can not decide what to do dancing between Macro, Tripod, Night etc.
What I would have done was pull the Camera from KitKat and made it work on Lollipop plus give all users Camera 2.0 and not just Z5 users. I really don't want to downgrade back to KitKat incase another fix comes from Sony or someone uploads their own fix at XDA.
Same there. Last update did solved GPS problem, but camera still didn't fixed. Using M2 Aqua -photos are VERY bad
