Constant red light on the front side of the phone

Hello,

I've had this phone for a year and a half now, and other than some minor bugs I haven't had any huge problems. Today after I took a swim in a pool I looked at my phone and noticed that the red notification light was constantly on (the same one that blinks when the phone is charging). When I plug the phone back in, it switches to the orange light. I  checked all of my updates, storage space, and apps, but it doesn't seem like anything is causing the red notifaction light. I restarted my phone as well. Other than the light, it works fine. Is it perhaps that the phone got wet during the swim (I tried to take underwater pictures with it), or is it something else?

Any help would be greatly appreactiated!

Even though it may start working once it dries up, I still recommend sending it in for servicing since water damage is very unpredictable and you may start experiencing unexpected behaviour later on. I still recommend that you get in touch with your Local support in order to have it examined at an authorized service center.

Hi @Redlightproblem,

I am very sorry to hear that. Slightly_frowning_Face

To rule out that it is software related, I recommend that you first try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. Should it still persist after the software repair, then I suggest that you get in touch with your Local support in order to be assisted in sending your device for servicing.

Hi Emir,

It definetely a water problem; the camera lens is fogged up and the mobile data is not working (wifi and other apps still are though). I've put the phone in a bag of rice for now. Is there a possibility that this will dry up and everything might be fine?
