I recently bought me the xperia M4 aqua dual and configured the Myxperia service on the device. After day 3 I restarted the M4.
As the M4 was started up the MXTP gave me the lockdown screen with the verify, wifi settings and emergency call options on it. So as I wanted to unlock my device i pressed the verify button and a log in screen for my google account appears. I use my google account on all kinds of different devices so I logged in. But here someting goes wrong.
When I typed in the username and password to verify it is my M4 it gave me a loading icon for 2 seconds and then it says "incorrect username and/or password" and my M4 stays locked. To double check if my password and username are correct i logged in to another adroid device and my laptop with no problems. So now I'm stuck with a brand new non working xperia M4 and my hope for a good working security system is all lost.
Thanks Sony.
sadly did not work for me..
my device is protectes and the webste when i log in my google acount does not find my device, what should i do?
I've been having the same problem.
Funny thing is that I deactivated it on Friday.
Saturday I got a notification that a software update was available. I updated and installed and then Bham!... there it is.I can't unlock it even now. I went to the MyXperia site to erase or reset my phone. Nothing happened still. I';m so frustrated beacuse this phone is 2 weeks old and I had just gotten robbed when I got it. What's the point of Protection that blocks you from unlocking the phone?
Update to my last post : Do you know what the funny thing is? After about a "million" tries i couldnt handle it anymore so i called sony support(i live in Greece by the way), the dude didnt even understand what i was telling him and as usual he send me to a local dealer/service provider. And of cource they coundnt fix it, so they phone me next day to tell me that my 4 week old phone needs to be send to a sony service center 300 km away and IF THEY DECIDE THAT I DIDNT CAUSE THE PROBLEM MAYBE THEY WILL FIX IT!!!!! I tried to explain that i am not the cause of a problem which sony software wizards cant solve but nobody listened...So after all this MAYBE they will fix it, maybe i will have to pay and maybe if its unfixable they will replace it!

AniruddhaHar: I updated my M4 Aqua Dual (E2333) last week and, from then, I got the unlock issue.
I tried myself the Repair from PCCompanion, but it didn't work, except that I lost configurations.
I'll try restarting in Safe Mode and, if not, your method, while I wait Sony to get my phone for repairs.
More details: I believe my M4 is in the more complex (and badly) scenario:
1- I updated Xperia SW to latest version (26.1.B.2.102). After restarting from the update, I got the lockdown issue. I did not unlock for any of the two accounts my mobile has registered (which myXperia got by itself, without my instruction, as I was notify by e-mails to both accounts, indicating myXperia was registerd by the two).
2- At this stage, myXperia WebSite alows me to locate the phone, protect it (I'm not sure if I did this), change the PIN (I did it and it worked) and erase the data (I suppose, but I didn't do it from myXperia).
3- At this stage I was also able to do some things with my phone (just for the 20 seconds the lock window takes to appears), even I was able to reach the secure configuration window of myXperia (but just in time to see the 'deactivate' button, just before the lock window appears).
4- Next step was to reset to factory from PC Companion. It worked (phone appears as when I got from the box), but not for the unlock which is still there.
5- I've been trying to access configuration (after covering the minimum of the initial configuration process) and I get surprised as the phone currently indicates myXperia is not active (again, just in time to see the myXperia configuration screen just a second before the unlock window appears).
So, If the issue indicated by AnirudddaHar (incompatibility between desynchronised versions of Google Apps and myXperia), I believe I'm in the worst scenario, as my Google Apps my be old refered to the Xperia SW version and PC Companion reseting will not update Google Apps, so I think I'm in a deadlock with this.
I also have a mobile with two Google Accounts (other possible issue indicated by AdityaVarma) but, as I've gone to Factory Settings, I've lost the configurations and I cannot eliminate the second Google Account from the mobile (as there is none configured).
I've also tryed with safe mode but nothing.
If anyone have any idea, I'll appreciate the help.
Well, I'll we try again with Factory Resetting, but I'm not sure of it. I will also try with G4S solution, but I believe I tried last friday with no results.
Anyway, I've put a request to Sony Service and I have some time while waiting for the courier to get my mobile (I sent the request last friday and today is Tuesday, I hope not to be waiting for so much time ).
My xperia is in protected mode and i dunno the mail account what can i do?
