My sony xperia M4 is not recongnised by any pc please help!

i have lost hundreds of very important pictures and need to restore them with the xperia companion but when i use a usb cable to connect phone to pc it will only charge the phone but will not show up on pc.I have tried everything differnet laptops and different usb cables and tryed changing settings on the phone im not sure what else to do  someone please please help me lost some very important photos..:(

When you connect the phone, make sure to unlock it, also, have you encrypted the phone?

yes its always unlocked ...what is encrypt?

I am sorry to hear that.

Could you try reinstalling the drivers for the phone? I am not sure which Windows version you are running, but for Windows 7:
- Press Start > Right click "Computer" > Manage
- Choose Device manager in the list
- Choose portable devices, you should be able to see your phone here if it's connected
- Right click the phone and choose Uninstall
Once this is done you can disconnect your phone, now simply reconnect it to your computer. This will force the computer to reinstall the device drivers and hopefully it'll be detected correctly.

Someone please help I am at my wits end.
My phone just will not connect to a pc, it is not being recognised at all.
I have tried with several cables, all ports, and on two different laptops. I've also tested my kindle which connects fine. This leads me to think it is an issue with the phone. It has connected in the past.

I have tried to do a factory reset but when I get to the page that says delete all data I press it and nothing happens, any advice. Got no idea what to do

How much can you see in to the USB connector slot?
Can you see the flat connector pad? Shine a light and see if there is anything blocking or shorting across the Middle of that pad. The centre pins are the data pins, the outer are charge

On the phone or the pc? (sorry if that's a dumb question). And as I said my kindle connects fine.
