Changing font on Xperia XA2

How do I change my font on Xperia Xa2? I cannot find a root app for Android 9

Hi @Ameerah, welcome to our forum!

There is no setting in the device to change the font, but there may be applications available in the Google Play store that will do this for you, but I haven't used any of them myself and since we haven't developed them, I can't provide any support for them.

Take a look in there and see if you find something that you like and that works for you!

Since the apps I find ask for Root, what is root? Is it harmful to my device? If not, how do i go about it?

If rooting is required it means that the bootloader has to be unlocked and this may void the warranty on the device.

Unlocking the bootloader is not something that I can provide support for but you can read more about it on the links below. Keep in mind that if you don't know exactly what you are doing, the device may be bricked and can't be used.
