Rear camera and flashlight problem

My phone rear camera and flaslight stoped to work .I have done saveral time factory reset butno success .

Hi @Tanveermalik, let me see if I can help out here! 

Have you tried clearing data for the camera app? This will reset all settings for the camera app which might do the trick. To do this, find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > Show all XX apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data. 

Another thing that you can try is to reboot your phone in safe mode to see if the behaviour of the camera app persists there. All apps downloaded from Play Store is temporarily deactivated while in safe mode and by doing this you can see if this behaviour is caused by a downloaded app. For more information on safe mode and how to use it, click here.

If the behaviour of the camera app persists after clearing data for the app and in safe mode you might need to repair the software using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair. 

If none of these measures manages to improve the functionality of the camera app, I am afraid that the only thing left to do is to get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and possibly repaired. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

As i mentioned in my previous post, If none of the previously mentioned troubleshooting methods has improved the functionality of the camera and flashlight, I would suggest that you get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center for checkup. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

Buenos días, tengo problemas con la cámara trasera... No es la apertura... Dice error... Reinicie... Lo reinicie, le reinstale el software, después de puse de fabrica y sigue sin abrir la cámara trasera...

La cámara delantera si habré... Gracias x su respuesta.

You mentioned that you tried reinstalling the software, do you mean a factory reset or a software repair? It is advised to do a software repair in this case due to the fact that a factory reset only deletes user data while a software repair will replace your current software with a new one. 

If the software repair do not manage to improve the functionality of the camera, I would suggest that you get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center for checkup. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

I have the exact same problem after doing the update and I think everyone does. Sony should do another update to solve this problem and ask their IT to work on it.

Hi @Mo45, Have you tried any of the troubleshooting methods mentioned earlier in the thread? For example, clearing data for the app, safe mode or software repair?

Yes I did. Nothing solved the problem. When I try to flip on the rear camera it zooms out then I try to flip again it zooms in instead of changing to the rear camera. There is something in the update that changed the functionality of the camera.
