Recovering Xperia XA2 from hard brick

Hi,

unfortunately I have bricked my new Xperia XA2 while reflashing firmware. I cannot now remember the tool name I have used. I can just remember, that it was an CLI tool for linux.

However, probably now it is not so important how I have managed to do so.

Symptoms:

  • Phone does not power on
  • It is not recognised by any tool (emma etc.) nor by any OS (linux, windows)
  • Does not go into any mode (flash mode etc.)
  • By pressing the power button, single greed LED flash occurs and nothing more
  • Volume up (or down) + power button - the same green LED flashes one time and nothing happens.

I have already tried everything, including opening back cover detaching battery.  I have also soldered wires to UART ports and tried connecting to a pc using this usb to UART adapter.

But did not managed to open a connection (assumption, incompatible UART adapter).

My question would be if it is possible to revive the phone somehow? Maybe could someone point me to the compatible UART adapter and where to start?

I am not very experienced debugging dead smartphones, but I write code for living and thus have a bit of understanding how things work.

Any help would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance.

E.M.
