Camera image looks like it lacks details

Hi, I am from India. After the lollipop upadate, my Xperia m2 dual( 2302) camera shows some isues. Its image looks like artistic picture, lacks details. When zooming its feel too bad. Is any one have this issue?

It's not the camera app as you'll have the same problem no matter what camera app you use. It's a bigger issue with the Lollipop update.

Yes, there's no other way without going down the rooting and flashing route?

If so many people are experiencing this issue it's not down to the (official) method used.

There's people on the XDA forum who did root and flash and fixed the camera.

Hi, an Xperia M2 Aqua D2403 user here

I'm from Slovenia and am experiencing the same problem as well, the image quality used to be great on KitKat, very sharp, but now when you zoom in fully the photo looks like an oil painting.

It would be a shame not to fix this problem!

Yeah, I don't intend to. Just wondering as to the reason behind inquiring what method was used to update.

The camera needs fixing as soon as possible! I was excited about the update but now I wish i haven't done that. Even worse than Jelly Bean if you ask me.

after updating 5.1.1 lollipop in my m2 dual the camera quality is very bad,,,,,plz help me

Hi @quality

Please, from your Home screen do the following:

1. Tap the Application screen icon.

2. Find and tap Settings -> Apps.

3. Swipe to the All tab.

4. Find and tap on Camera.

5. Tap Force stop -> Clear data.

6. Restart the phone.

Also I suggest you check the information here  if your software build number of your M2 is 18.6.A.0.175 (Lollipop 5.1.1). I´m at disposal for any question.
