MXTP created problems for me.

MXTP created problems for me.

I recently bought me the xperia M4 aqua dual and configured the Myxperia service on the device. After day 3 I restarted the M4.

As the M4 was started up the MXTP gave me the lockdown screen with the verify, wifi settings and emergency call options on it. So as I wanted to unlock my device i pressed the verify button and a log in screen for my google account appears. I use my google account on all kinds of different devices so I logged in. But here someting goes wrong.

When I typed in the username and password to verify it is my M4 it gave me a loading icon for 2 seconds and then it says "incorrect username and/or password" and my M4 stays locked. To double check if my password and username are correct i logged in to another adroid device and my laptop with no problems. So now I'm stuck with a brand new non working xperia M4 and my hope for a good working security system is all lost.

Thanks Sony.

My phone was sent to kolkata service centre, i got a confirmation feedback that the board needs to be changed, but that will be changed free of cost as the phone is in warranty, so finally what is right is being done, thank you sony, my faith in you is restored, love sony 🙂

Hi,

So the this is the problem and none of the solutins described works: http://support.sonymobile.com/sg/xperiam4aqua/faq/Lockdown-mode-and-protected-screen/

The phone asks for Google credentials and when I enter them it tells they are wrong! I checked through my computer the ID and password to ensure they are correct.

I also tried a software update through Sony PC Companion. It still keeps the Protection mode on.

I went to Myxperia where I tried to de-activate this protection mode or erase my phone. No luck either!

HELP PLEASE!

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Hi Richard,

Thanks already did this, but the support is not working during Sunday. The problem is that I am using the phone for work, so tomorrow morning 8 am it should be working.
