MXTP created problems for me.

MXTP created problems for me.

I recently bought me the xperia M4 aqua dual and configured the Myxperia service on the device. After day 3 I restarted the M4.

As the M4 was started up the MXTP gave me the lockdown screen with the verify, wifi settings and emergency call options on it. So as I wanted to unlock my device i pressed the verify button and a log in screen for my google account appears. I use my google account on all kinds of different devices so I logged in. But here someting goes wrong.

When I typed in the username and password to verify it is my M4 it gave me a loading icon for 2 seconds and then it says "incorrect username and/or password" and my M4 stays locked. To double check if my password and username are correct i logged in to another adroid device and my laptop with no problems. So now I'm stuck with a brand new non working xperia M4 and my hope for a good working security system is all lost.

Thanks Sony.

The thread title is pretty straightforward:
Does the latest firmware update address MXTP lockdown issues?

I've had my phone for a couple of days and today I decided to get a pattern lock, and of course the first thing I do is to forget it. How do I reset the pattern lock? I've googled around without any succes and when I enter wrong pattern there is no "forgot pattern" button, it just says "you failed to draw the right pattern X times, wait 30 seconds before trying again", I tried almost 70 times already and Im not getting anywhere.

Then I tried to look up how to factory reset if you forgot your password, and I found one guide saying you have to turn off your phone and press and hold down the volume+ button and power button for about 10 seconds, in order to bring up a reseting menu or whatever. But holding down these buttons just turns the phone on and off every 2 seconds... So if anyone could tell me either how to reset the pattern or factory reset, that'd be great.

You have these options:

1. See this link

2. You need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

myXperia didn't work, it says I have no phone connected to my Google account even though I do and I can even display it in my Google account settings.

I tried PC companion and I'm having problems connecting the phone to PC companion, it says "The phones memory isn't available, the memory has to be available in order for PC companion to connect to the phone. Control check the following: 1. The SIM-card is in and the PIN has been verified. 2. The phones display is unlocked"

Obviously I can't unlock the display and I have put in the SIM-card (I took it out in an attempt to reset it after I forgot the pattern), altough I haven't been asked for the SIM-card PIN yet
