I'm the owner of XA2 more than week and I noticed one irritating bug - during a call, after approx. first 10-20 seconds my display "awakes" and I always press Speaker button by my cheek and my conversation hear all people around. I know that it's quite common issue for many XA2 owners. Are you going to fix this issue somehow?
Thx.
There's no way to submit those bugs to Sony or another way so they hear us? because yeah at least on the XA2 forum we are alone... I think I should buy the essential phone, good looking phone, and have a super support and communication with their supporters (ours) I know Sony it's making something, I mean the security updates arriving in time but cmon Sony why u can't say something about our phones
I checked the proximity sensor like Sony suggests in the following instruction:
https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaxaultra/kb/023101883e51c28e0143e6003f38003b05/
Thus, if the check was sufficient, I come to the conclusion, that there is a sofware bug
The problem is that configuraiton of proximity sensor is wrong on my opinion. Using embedded test you may check that it reacts when distance is approximately 1-2 sm and it's too small. Tried the same test in XZ model and there it is 5-6 sm. I'm not sure if it can be fixed using software update but if it is Sony should fix it!
I have the same issue..
I also have this issue. This morning I got a call, answered it, then the screen remained blank/off... Couldn't do anything, had to wait for the other party to hang up, and some time after that it went back to normal.
I've also tried the diagnostics thing and the proximity sensor doesn't react, but seems to be a software issue, because after a reboot it started to work again. Some time later, issue ocurrs again, and so on... very frustrating..
I have the exact same issue! Very annoying! As far as I can see in this thread at the forum, there seem to be no solution to the problem! I will have to bring it back to the store!
I have the same issue too. How does the store solve your problem ?
I would have gone to a service center and left my device there for a few weeks, that's not suitable for me right now. Also I suspect that they wouldn't found any issue... I have some expirience with such services and that's their style (at least in my region) So, I'm hoping and waiting for fixes in next updates. But to be honest, I don't believe that it will fixed it and I'm pretty sure that it's my first and the last Sony phone.
I have XA2 and during a conversation, whatever it is, it's being pressed by the cheek of the button ..... What to do sony?
This is a very annoying SOFTWARE issue. After some time proximity sensor sensitivity downs dramatically from 40 to 2 mm. This problem can be fixed in next firmware update. But when? I can't use a smartphone with this bug.
If this bug will not be fixed it will be my first and last Sony smartphone.
