Hi
I plugged my XA2 into the charger yesterday while it had 21% charge, looked at my phone two minutes later and it had turned itself on and despite all efforts (the 2 minute forced restart, charging from the mains charger, USB socket and through USB port on a laptop etc) it shows no sign of life at all. Would be grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi @CB87, sorry to hear about this.
Has there been any change or if the device still not turning on? If it is not turning on, have you tried with a different USB cable and/or different USB cable and wall mounted charger?
You can also try the 2 minute restart when the device is connected to a charger, if you haven't done that yet > ignore all the vibrations and then charge the device until you see a battery icon on the screen.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks Jonas - yes, tried several chargers now and absolutely no response to the two minute restart either.
Hi again @CB87!
Oh, I see.
There is unfortunately not that much left for you to try but a performing a software repair using Xperia Companion is worth trying and this can be done without being able to power on the device.
Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage, but you can't access this now either way since the device can't be powered on.
If there is no change after the software repair has been completed, the last step is to have the device sent in to an authorized service centre so a trained technician can examine the device and hopefully repair it. Your Local support team will assist you further with having the device sent in to service and they can give you a more detailed answer than I can regarding service routines, warranty and consumer laws.
Feel free to keep me posted!
