i switched from ios to android just last week. i noticed one thing that irritates me a lot. pop up ads. it literally pop ups everywhere with no apps open even at lockscreen. how can i remove this? i already turned off ads personalization i. google settings
Solved! Go to Solution.
Pop up ads on lockscreen indicates that it is an app you have installed causing your problem.
First place to start is battery monitors and memory/storage cleanup apps.
can you try to upload a screenshot of the ads? also try checking your apps for some unwanted apps. settings>apps
Hi @strawberrymonster, sorry to hear about this. Must be very annoying having ads pop up all the time.
We don't send out any pop up ads to your device so it does sound like you have installed a third party application that sends out these ads to your device.
If you restart your device in safe mode do you still see these ads? In safe mode all downloaded applications are temporarily inactivated and we can very easily see if any of them is the cause of this.
You can also take a screenshot of one of the ads and upload them here to the forum. To do that, press and hold the power button > tap "Take screenshot".
Let us know how it goes!

Hi sir how will i know those apps causing of a lot of annoying ads
Hi @Sharlli, welcome to our forum!
To see if one of your downloaded applications are the cause of these ads you can reboot your device in safe mode. In safe mode your downloaded applications will be temporarily disabled and you should not receive any ads, unless they are coming from another source.
Let me know if that helps!
Well three of the ones you just listed are well known as the largest ad spammers in existence.
I believe your issue will disappear with one of those.
Also worth noting, WeChat is actually owned by an advertising company.
