Ya i know. No root firewall can restrict data usages. Flashlight, battery /performance improving like apps doesn't need data. If i can restrict data on those apps then they can work perfectly and doesn't show any add on main or locked screen. I'm using that kinds of app but doesn't see any add because of no root firewall.
@Ayush_Bharti, that's true!
I generally don't like to have to use something extra to get rid of the ads, I just get rid of the apps displaying the ads instead!
Thanks again for your help and have a great weekend.
i have do reset factory but problem is not resolve
Hi @sam_1, welcome to our forum!
Where are you seeing these pop up ads, is it when you visit certain websites, unlocking the device or using certain applications?
If you install the same application(s) again or visit the same websites again, you will see the pop up ads since they have nothing to do with the actual device, it's from a downloaded application or website.
If you could provide some information as to when they show up, that would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Hi again @sam_1,
There are not ads by default in the device that will pop up on the home screen after unlocking your device, so could you please try and reboot your device in safe mode and see if this occurs in this mode as well?
If it does, please take a screen shot (press and hold the power button > tap on "Take screenshot") and upload it here.
Thank you!
It is hard to find the apps that causes pop up ads. I had this same problem too before and what I did is I Uninstalled my recent downloaded up but it did not fix the problem, I resort to factory data reset and that solve my problem, pop up ads disappear. 😁😁
Hi @Roger436,
I agree with you, it's not easy to know which application is that is pushing out the ads. It would be easier if they came in a notification so you could you press and hold on it to see which application was the cause.
In general it's mostly free games, boosting apps and so on that does this, so taking a look at your installed apps and see if there is some shady ones is a good starting point!
Thanks for your post and have a nice day!
So I clicked on solutions but it doesn't tell me what to do. I did clean up and turned off blue tooth to headphones before looking here and still pop ups are showing. I have not downloaded any other apps in the last 2 weeks. So has to be something to do with this app.
I think I have maybe figured out what happened. When I opened the paper work supplied with the headphones it had a bar code to scan which I used my tablet to scan and it said this is an app attached to your QR barcode scanner. So maybe this is what is causing the problem. I have deleted the QR scanner (had it for years so not sure what happened). Maybe you can check. I purchased the
Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Bluetooth Noise Canceling Over the Ear Headphones
and it was the barcode on this paper work hope you can figure it out and that I am right because I can't even get my home screen to come up without all these ads. Will let you know if it isn't this
